RQI Prep Information & Video

RQI Online Course – What to Expect

We distribute online course access three times daily between 8 AM and 5 PM. To complete the American Heart Association online course, you must use a computer or tablet—mobile phones are not supported.

The course adapts to your existing knowledge, so its duration varies based on your experience and skill level:

  • BLS: 1–2 hours

  • ACLS or PALS: 3–4 hours

You can pause and resume the course at your convenience—there’s no need to complete it in one sitting.

Preparing for Your BLS, ACLS, or PALS Skills Test

On the day of your scheduled skills testing, arrive at your selected location at the registered date and time with your RQI login and the entry instructions sent via text or email. Make sure you have completed your online course before the skills testing.

Steps to Begin Your Session:

  1. Put on a pair of gloves.

  2. Enter your login and password on the computer using the keyboard or touch screen.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to activate your skills session.

The Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM) will guide you through the testing process. While an instructor will not be present, our friendly support team is available—just call our office during your session if you need any assistance.
